Corrections and source queries are genuinely welcome — this site’s figures are only as good as the sources under them. What we cannot do is advise on your individual case.

Before you write

We cannot confirm this address is routing yet

Delivery for this address is arranged outside the site, and this page cannot check it — so a message sent to the address above may not reach anyone. This is stated rather than hidden, because an address that silently swallows mail is worse than one that says it might.

Scope

What we can and cannot help with

The line is not about willingness. It is about what an information site is in a position to know.

Corrections are the most useful thing anyone sends. Every figure here is traceable to a source, which means an error is findable — and the fastest way to find one is somebody reading the page against the document. If you are writing about a figure, the reply is much quicker if you say which page it was on, what it said, and what you believe the correct position is. A link to the provision or the guideline text is ideal; where a page has moved or been amended since we read it, that is exactly the kind of thing an individual reader notices before we do.

What we cannot do is look at your case. Not because of a policy, but because there is nothing to look at: this site holds no records, has no connection to any police force, court or licensing authority, and does not ask for a notice reference or a licence number. It could not check your position even if you sent one, and it will not guess at it from a description. The authority on your case is the body named on the paperwork you were sent, and for your driving record it is the DVLA’s own service.

Genuinely welcome

  • A correction — a figure, a citation, a provision that has moved.
  • A source we have missed, especially a primary one.
  • A question about how this site works, or about a page that reads unclearly.

What we cannot do

  • Advise on your own case. This site is information, not legal advice.
  • Look anything up for you. We hold no records and ask for no identifiers.
  • Predict what a court will do. Nobody honestly can.

Every figure sourced from legislation or Sentencing Council guideline, with the citation for each.
